ABOUT US
Highlands Ministry is dedicated to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the indigenous people of the Andes Mountains in Ecuador. The people of these communities have long been considered out of reach because of their location and lack of safe transportation. Our goal is to meet the physical and spiritual needs of these indigenous people by establishing small churches & clinics in various villages in the area.
The Lord opened the road to Ecuador through the village of Quislag in 2007. Since then we’ve been blessed to see a plan greater than we ever imagined unfold as promised in Jer 29:11. To date in Quislag the ministry has built a church, helped re-establish the water supply, provided health/hygiene classes, assisted the local school and recently completed a children’s church. What the Lord has accomplished in this village has been acknowledged by others and now opportunities are opening up in more remote areas of the Andes Mountains.
Highlands Ministry is a non-profit ministry. Separately, we have sponsored the registration of a non-government organization in Ecuador.
The organization was founded by Cuban born missionary Pedro Rodriguez originally of Miami Florida. Pedro currently resides in Branson MO with his wife Marolyn and three daughters Cianna, Kailey and Alyson.
Our team stateside is made up of our spiritual father Dr. Charles Shockley along with Victoria Volich, Sean Martinez, and many others that are led to join our mission trips. In Ecuoador, Dr. Maria Insuasti leads the Ecuadorian non-governmental organization, Highlands Ministry of Ecuador and Pastors Jose Atupana and Simon Gavin teaching and preaching the word of God to the people in the region.
